Henna Body Art

Henna is a naturally occuring stain. The paste is made from the ground up leaves of the henna tree mixed with essential oils, lemon juice, and raw sugar. Artists apply the henna paste to skin and once the paste has flaked off, an orangish stain remains on the skin. The stain will darken over the course of 2 to 3 days, leaving a red-brown design that will fade as the skin exfoliates over the next 1 - 3 weeks.

Jaidra has been mixing and applying henna since 2008. She has studied traditional design elements from India and North Africa as well as modern flash art and loves to put her unique spin into her designs. Book your private henna session at the niad studio today. Contact Jaidra to book a party or event, or visit our FAQ to learn more about henna art at Niad.

*Please note that henna is suspended for 2020 due to safety concerns for clients and artists. It is impossible to maintain social distance and apply body art. We hope to be able to resume this beautiful art form soon.
